Join Karin and June for an information session about Dreaming Brigid Awake: a transformative 6-month journey where we will use the tools of astrology, folk-magic, herbalism, and ceremony to release, renew, and rebirth ourselves into the coming spring. Discover the ancient art of astrology and folk magic in a transformative journey guided by June Rose Trimbach and Karin Olsen. Drawing on centuries-old traditions and modern healing practices, this unique course unveils the profound connection between the cosmos and personal transformation.

June Rose Trimbach, an experienced astrologer and bearer of ancestral traditions, joins forces with Karin Olsen, a seasoned healer and community herbalist. Together, they weave a tapestry of knowledge that encompasses astrology, magic, and healing, creating a one-of-a-kind experience that bridges the realms of spirit and matter.

This course is an opportunity to rediscover your place in the cosmic tapestry and embrace your own healing potential. Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or new to the world of astrology and magic, Dreaming Brigid Awake offers a holistic container for self-discovery and empowerment. By merging astrology, plant wisdom, ceremony, traditional magic and folklore, this course empowers you to heal, transform, and experience the harmony that exists between the celestial and earthly realms. We will meet on some Thursday evenings and one Saturday a month for six months. Beginning our journey with Autumnal Equinox Sept 21st and traveling through the dark half of the year, we complete our passage at Brigid’s hearth on Saturday, February 10th. Embark on a Journey of Transformation:

As we move into the dark half of the year, we enter a time of internal transformation, the end of the year and a gestation period before spring. In this dark half of the year, we will be using the tools of astrology, plant medicine and magic to dream the coming rebirth of spring and ourselves. Brigid’s day is February 1st, when the signs of earliest spring make themselves clear. In this way, she is a goddess of rebirth, light returning, healing, and the blessings of spring. Like the priestesses which kept an undying flame at her temple, we will tend to our own inner flame through ritual, dialogue with planets, ancestral connection, and plant magic. Join us in this journey and step onto the bridge that links the winter to the spring, the dark to the light, the earth to the stars, and discover the power within you to release, renew and rebirth.

Course Highlights:

۞ Celestial Insights: Through the lens of astrology, we will explore the relationship between earth and its celestial counterparts. Learning about the planets reveals things about ourselves. Experiencing their energies through ceremony can be a powerful facilitator of understanding. We will focus on discovering the link between our inner selves and the planets and stars. Doing so will deepen our relationship with the planets so that they become friends and allies.

Ꚛ Ancient Wisdom, Modern Healing: Immerse yourself in the fusion of age-old magical practices and contemporary healing techniques. While some of the astrological techniques we will be using are quite ancient, we will be approaching them from a very modern lens. Similarly, while we will also be drawing on traditional Irish and Scottish folk magic, we will bring these traditions into a modern context of ritual and healing.

🌿 Plant Magic and Healing: Delve into the world of herbalism, as June and Karin share their extensive knowledge of plants and their therapeutic properties. Discover how the natural world can enhance your magical and healing practices. Learn how the plants have always been associated with stars and planets since the inception of astrology.

🔮 Nurturing Soul Connections: Tap into the collective wisdom of your soul guides as Karin and June facilitate your connection with your ancestors, spirits, and guardians. Learn how to direct their energies to facilitate healing and personal transformation.

🌙 Ritual Craftsmanship: Master the art of crafting rituals that bridge the gap between your inner world and the outer realm. Create meaningful connections with your natal chart and healing spirits through symbolic actions and transformative ceremonies. Learn how to craft and care for astrological talismans.

Dates and times:  Classes will be some Thursdays and one Saturday a month. Please review dates before you register. Thursday evenings will be 4-6pm and Saturdays will be 10am-4pm. No refunds will be given for missed classes.

Location:  All class are in-person located on the Westside of Olympia near the Evergreen State College campus. Address will be given at the time of registration. We will meet outside by a fire pit for most classes. Please have appropriate clothing for a wide variety of weather.

Costs:

There are three pricing tiers in addition to full payments options and monthly payment options.

Supporter rate $225 per month, invites folks with comfortable financial means to contribute more. Your generosity covers the cost for us to offer reduced rates.

Standard rate$200 per month,  is the actual cost for us to offer this program and sustain what we do. If you are able to enroll at this rate, we encourage you to do so.

Scholarship rate$165 per month are for people experiencing sustained hardship or from economically under-resourced communities. *Limited availability.

Those who are able to pay the full amount in advance receive a slight additional discount. Instructors:

June Rose Trimbach is an astrologer, spiritual practitioner, and student of historical magic. As an astrologer, she believes it’s her role to help people understand life with greater meaning, align with natural cycles of growth and loss, and see with a compassionate eye the bruised parts of their soul reflected in their natal chart. As a spiritual practitioner she connects with spirit mediumistically, usually in the presence of someone seeking aid, and relays words, inspiration, and healing transmissions as best she can. She works often with ancestral spirits, the spirits of plants and trees, waters of grief and cleansing, and the energy of transformation. As a student of historical magic, she researches the traditional role of the community healer, the intersection of magic and religion, and historical magical practice. She has been studying and practicing astrology and magic for ten years. Her teachers include Joseph Crane, Joe Landwher, Donna Woodwell, Rosie Finn, Ylva Mara Radzizewski, Maris Bergrune, and her lovely faculty at the Evergreen State College where her undergraduate degree focused on Classical and European magical practice.

Karin  Olsen is a healer, a seer and a teacher. She has been  studying plants for more than 20 years, owning a herb shop and metaphysical store for 14 years. She has been a massage  therapist for almost 30 years. Karin learned her psychic medium skills from her mother and see clients via zoom. Karin is a community-intiated Preistess and provides ceremonies to her community. She teaches classes on earth-based spirituality through Moonhill Mystery School in the Salish Sea area. In 2021 she earned a Master of Ecopsychology from Naropa University.
